Stitch-a-Long Quilt project with Homespun Magazine

It's getting very exciting now because my new Stitch a Long quilt project for Homespun magazine is almost ready for release. So I have been cutting, folding, ironing and playing with all the gorgeous fabrics getting them ready for the fabric kits.

And I am very pleased to report that this had a great affect on my missing Mojo!
Hooray Hooray!

Here are some pics of what my dining table looked like a week ago:

Just waiting on the beautiful threads to arrive from DMC and all will be ready to go. The fabric kits will be available from the www.stitchingcow website and will contain the exact fabric I used for the quilt, as well as the background fabric and all embroidery threads.
All you will need to do is to get your hands on the April issue of Homespun magazine for the first pattern. The remaining patterns will be available for download each week for the next 20 weeks...and all for FREE.

So stay tuned. More to come soon
Warmly Lenna

  1. YIKES.....I'm so excited that this new project is coming out how I've waited for it! WOW! There will be no time for housework now & hubby will have to cook for him self THANK YOU Leanna. There is only one problem I live in the USA & can't get that first copy. Is there anyone willing to get me a copy & I would pay the postage otherwise I have no idea on what to do, from one stitcher to another, thank you in advance. Medford WI USA

  3. I think the pattern will be available on the Homespun website so you can get the information this way rather than buying the magazine just google Homespun and then you can follow each month. Hope that helps ps can I buy the kit from the website yet?

  4. Chris - the first block for the Stitch-a-Long quilt project is only being published in Homespun, Vol 12 No 4. All the remaining stitcheries will be available for downloading free of charge from the Homespun website, but you do need to get a copy of Homespun 12.4 if you want the complete set and you want to make Lenna's gorgeous quilt.
The magazine is readily available in the USA (albeit a couple of weeks later than it is in Australia). You can buy it online from any number of places, including Ericas at www.ericas.com They currently have Vol 12 No 2 up on their website as their latest issue, so perhaps Vol 12 No 4 might be available end April / early May.

  7. Hi Megan...THANK YOU for the info on ericas.com.. I called there right away today (3-22) & found that they do sell the Homespun mag. They told me to keep ckng in so when I see it on their site I can order it right away. Those mags always go to the news stands first & they get the leftovers & here in WI we don't get anything like that so I'll have to wait a long time b/4 I get mine. You will probably be done with your 1st blk b/4 I even start. Leanna is such a cool gal for doing this new project for all of us, now the wait! Medford WI USA

  8. Hi Lenna. I am really looking forward to seeing your designs. I have had to cut down on buying magazines- not because I don't LOVE them, especially Homespun and Quilters Companion, but I am running out of room!!!! I will definitely be getting the April issue though. I have posted on the craft forum about it, but will do again when the mag. comes out to remind everyone!Hugs, Sandy.

  9. Very excited here...You can get the magazine @ Erica's Craft Store online. I am not sure about the website name, but they are in the U.S. I just ordered a bunch of back issues. They are about $10.00 each. Try Ericas.com

  10. Lenna, you are amazing! You have come up with so many wonderful projects, quilts, freebies...thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited about your stitch-a-long quilt project in Homespun. I am afraid I am like the rest of my USA quilting sisters and have to wait for the April Homespun. But that's Ok, it gives me time to get my machine serviced and my cutting table cleared off and a few projects finished up. I will keep checking back for when I can order my kit!!!
